Ticonderoga House | Beautiful & Peaceful Lake George Waterfront with Awesome Sunsets. Beach Nearby!

3 Bedroom House in Ticonderoga

Simply put, Lake George is one of the most beautiful and pristine lakes in the country. The northern end is perhaps the most peaceful and picturesque area of the entire lake. Our lake house is uniquely located facing south on the peninsula of Black Point. Just sit back in a chair on the lawn (or in the living room) with your beverage of choice and watch the wildlife, boats, movement of the water or wait for the sunset over the mountains. So restful.
Our lake house features 150 feet of water frontage, large dock, beautiful sunrises from the kitchen window and sunsets from the living room window and backyard, short walk to the town sandy beach, and only 5 minutes to the boat launch. The town beach has lifeguards, bathrooms, swings, beach volleyball, and picnic pavilion. There aren't very many waterfront houses on Lake George that face south. This is a great house for families or for a week escape with friends - there's even a finished basement with ping-pong and a foosball table!
When you enter The Point House you'll be struck by the view straight ahead out the dining room window. Come in, drop your bags and rush to the living room window. The southern view of Rogers Rock and Anthony's Nose is spectacular. Leave the bags in the hallway and go out to the back lawn exiting through the three-season porch. This is why you're here – the shady lawn is the place to spend a summer afternoon. You'll notice the dock and the shallow water down below – kids (and adults!) will have a blast jumping into the lake. The lake bottom here is a mixture of sand and small rocks – no muck here. Notice the large rock next to the dock and make a mental note to reserve some time to sit there with a book or come out at night to star gaze.
While you'll love the view and the closeness of the water, you'll also feel at home with the accommodations and amenities the house has to offer. The large kitchen features all new appliances including a double wine/beer chiller, dishwasher, and microwave. There is plenty of counter space to prepare food and even an eat-in kitchen dining area. All necessities are included: traditional coffee maker, blender, KitchenAid mixer, and service for twelve.
Long after you travel home you'll remember the view from the living room picture window. Watch for sunrises, sunsets, birds, or enjoy the peaceful lulling of the water. There is also a wi-fi TV, fireplace, ping-pong table, and game cabinet. This main room, furnished in mid-century modern, also features a dining area. The table comes with several leaves and can accommodate ten people.
If you prefer, make the three season room your main living area. With a dining table that seats six plus a loveseat and armchairs, you can spend all day here. Open the windows for a summer breeze, or keep them closed for a cozy fall afternoon.
The large master bedroom has lovely lake views and a king size bed. There are great views of Rogers Rock from the bed! The second bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds and an additional twin trundle and sleeps five children or young adults comfortably. The third bedroom has a double bed. There's plenty of room for the whole family, and is great for a vacation with extended family or friends.
The main bathroom has been completely renovated and features a tub/shower and double-basin sink. There is also a great view from this room! The second bathroom (on the lower lever), also renovated, features a shower stall. There is also a half bath next to the kitchen.
The lower level has a laundry room with washer and dryer. The playroom is down a half flight from the laundry area, with ping pong, foosball, and its own Sonos speaker.
A blue stone patio at the lake's edge is the perfect place start or end the day. The patio has a fire pit and plenty of space for the whole family (we supply firewood in the shed). Five kayaks with life jackets and paddles are available for use.
During the summer season The Point House is available by the week on a Saturday to Saturday basis. The dock can accommodate one boat up to 25' in length. Please note that we do keep our boat at the house during the summer. It is stored on a lift out of the way. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate jet skis.
We're travelers ourselves and are committed to providing a great vacation rental experience for all our guests.
We're so glad you found us and we're confident that you'll have a fun and relaxing time at The Point House!

Summary: Just what we were looking for….a beautiful place to get away from it all. Rob thoroughly answered all our questions promptly and made sure we were able to settle in without a hitch. Our days there were filled with hiking, kayaking, making great meals in a well stocked kitchen and lounging by the lake. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

Summary: We were delighted by the house upon arrival—it was clean, tidy, and very spacious. It came well-equipped with many amenities to enhance our stay, including kayaks, a new dock, a large outdoor grill, fire pit, wine fridge, ping-pong and foosball tables, and more. The house had thorough instructions and labels on light switches, cabinets, and other essentials, making it easy to navigate and use. The hosts were exceptional. Their responsiveness was practically instant at all times, and it was clear that they genuinely wanted us to enjoy our vacation. The house boasts an absolutely stunning view. Located in the northern portion of the lake, the house sits atop a point facing south, providing a direct view down the lake. Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, the nearest town is Ticonderoga, near historic Fort Ticonderoga. Beyond that, there are no attractions and very few restaurants in the vicinity. This makes the location perfect for those looking to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the more crowded Lake George Village, just over an hour away by car. We highly recommend this house to anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy a serene vacation in a secluded part of Lake George with a breathtaking view. If your vacation plans involve frequent dining out or visiting Lake George attractions, this location might not be ideal due to the hour-long drive to popular destinations. However, for a relaxing, picturesque getaway, this house is perfect.

Summary: We travelled with life long friends to this wonderful house on Lake George to view the 2024 eclipse. The house was perfect—right on the lake with spectacular views of wildlife and sunsets. We cooked most of our meals in a fantastically equipped kitchen. Everything you could want, from Kitchen Aid mixer to a wine cooler is there. Spent some time exploring the area but were happiest sitting in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the lake. Our stay was definitely once in a lifetime—we won’t forget it.

Summary: Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Actively on the beach four houses down during the day but always quiet between 9-10pm. House is clean and well stocked. We traveled with a 4, 7 and 9 year old that loved fishing off the dock and closeness to the beach and the streets were quiet and safe to easily walk or paddle board to the beach. About an hour fifteen from lake George village day trips in that direction were easy enough but provided for a nice quiet lane end stay. Beautiful views. Rob was was nice checking in on us and quick to respond to any questions.
